Terms of Use

These terms cover this website. They are not the agreement for our filing services, which is a separate document you would sign. The guides here are general information, not legal advice, and we are not affiliated with the Railroad Commission of Texas.

Accepting these terms

By using emergentenvironmental.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed.

What this site is

This site describes what Emergent Environmental LLC does, and publishes guides explaining Railroad Commission of Texas reporting requirements. It exists to inform operators and to let you ask us for a review of your filing history.

We are not the Railroad Commission

Emergent Environmental LLC is a private firm. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Railroad Commission of Texas or any other government agency. Nothing on this site is an official publication of the Commission, and nothing here should be read as the Commission's position.

Where we describe a form, a rule, or a deadline, the Commission's own instructions and the Texas Administrative Code govern. We link to those primary sources throughout the guides. If our summary and the Commission's instructions ever disagree, the Commission's instructions are correct and we would like to know so we can fix ours.

The guides are information, not advice

Our guides explain regulatory requirements in general terms. They are not legal advice, engineering advice, accounting advice, or tax advice, and they are not a substitute for any of those. Regulations change, and how a rule applies depends on facts we do not know about your operation.

Do not act on a guide alone. Verify against the Commission's current instructions, and involve a qualified professional where the question warrants one.

Using this site creates no professional relationship

Reading this site, submitting the review request form, or exchanging emails with us does not by itself create a professional or contractual relationship, and it does not make us responsible for your filings.

We begin work for a client only under a signed written agreement. That agreement, not this page, defines what we do, what it costs, and what each side is responsible for. Where the two ever conflict for a client, the signed agreement controls.

Accuracy

We try hard to be accurate, and we correct errors when we find them. Even so, this site is provided as it is. We do not warrant that every statement is complete or current, and we do not promise any particular outcome with the Commission or any other agency.

Our content

The text, guides, design, and brand marks on this site belong to Emergent Environmental LLC. You are welcome to read, print, and share pages for your own use, and to quote us with attribution and a link. Please do not republish substantial portions as your own or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.

Form numbers, rule citations, and the underlying regulatory material are public government information and we claim nothing over them.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to break into any part of this site, submit false information through the form, use it to send unsolicited or automated bulk submissions, scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or use it for anything unlawful.

Links to other sites

We link to the Railroad Commission and to other outside resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Emergent Environmental LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website, or from reliance on general information published here. This does not limit anything set out in a signed services agreement, and it does not limit liability that cannot be limited under Texas law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
